Minh Phuong is a PhD candidate in Finance – Economics from the University of Paris-Sud, Réseaux Innovation Territoires et Mondialisation lab (RITM), and holds a Master degree in Banking and Finance from the Banking University of Ho Chi Minh city. He had worked for two years in Loan Department as Financial Analyst in Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam (Vietcombank). In 2013, Minh Phuong has become a lecturer and researcher at Banking University of Ho Chi Minh city.

Minh Phuong has published some papers, articles on the journals and conferences. He has also had some research projects (at ministry and univerity level) since he became a lecturer. He attended some short courses which were organised by Bolton Business School, Frankfurt University and World Bank Group.

Besides teaching knowledge, he also focus on personality development of students. As the secretary of Youth Union of Banking Faculty, he often hold social activities to help the poor in his community and extracurricular activities to develop personality and soft skills for students.

Fields of Research

My research interests lie in: Cross-Border Banking, Financial Intermediation, Bank Risk and Regulatory implications (Basel, Bank Supervision, Market Discipline, Capital Structure, Bank Governance and Risk, Financial Stability, Systemic Risk, Liquidity Risk etc.) and other areas (in Banking and Finance)
