Professor of Economics at the University of Paris Sud, Jean-Michel Glachant is also currently the Director of the Florence School of Regulation. His main research interests are in European energy Policy, and economic regulation of energy networks. He also received some honours as the winner of the “European of the year” Award on EU Energy Regulation and Climate Policy as FSR Director (EURELECTRIC) and is member of the Academy of “European School for New Institutional Economics”(ESNIE).

Fields of Research

Building of a common European energy policy (security of supply, energy technology policy, and climate change policy)
Building of the European energy internal market (design, regulation and competition policy)
Economic regulation of energy networks
